Agency history

Our Architectural Practice was first established in 1973. The founding architects originated from Groupe Printemps S.A.
We formed a side company in 1981 for managing our architectural projects (société d’ingénierie).
When French law allowed architectural practices to be private limited companies, these two entities merged and became ERTIM Architectes, Société Anonyme d’Architecture.
Current managing executives are also majority share holders since 1992 when founding architects retired.

Didier POIGNANT –Président Directeur Général has worked with ERTIM Architectes S.A. from 1981 to 1983. He then created his own practice which has merged with ERTIM Architectes S.A. and became President in 1992.

Yves KERIHUEL –Directeur Général jointed the Practice in 1975 as junior architect. He progressively had increasing responsibilities and became General Manager of ERTIM Architectes S.A. in 1992.

ERTIM Architectes S.A. is particularly active in the fields of Hotels, Offices, Retail Developments, Warehouses and Industrial Buildings.

ERTIM Architectes S.A. has long experience on both new construction and existing buildings, on heavy refurbishments, renovation and extension projects.

We are used to deal with Local Authorities such as City Planning Department, Listed Building Authorities (ABF, Monuments Historiques), Fire Authorities (Commission de Sécurité). We are familiar with French code and fire regulations for Etablissements Reçevant du Public (ERP).

We normally assign one or several Architects per project, under the authority of one of the Principals.

The same person remains the project leader throughout, from initial feasibility to one year final completion. The Project Teamis, of course, adjusted to fit with project parameters.

We manage our projects from our office in Central Paris or create on site offices when deemed necessary.
